EdPros Digital and PALCI Partner to Strengthen Digital Accessibility for Academic Libraries

PALCI - EdPros Digital Partnership

EdPros Digital is proud to partner with the Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration & Innovation (PALCI) to help member libraries strengthen digital accessibility capacity, support evolving compliance requirements, and build more sustainable accessibility practices across higher education.

Through this Memorandum of Understanding, PALCI member libraries will have a pathway to access discounted EdPros Digital services that support digital accessibility planning, implementation, and long-term operational progress. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to helping academic libraries respond to changing expectations around accessible digital content, user experience, and regulatory compliance. This creates a collaborative structure through which PALCI members can access cost-effective expertise and services related to digital accessibility, including support connected to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and WCAG 2.2 guidelines.

“This new partnership provides PALCI and its members with access to much needed digital accessibility-related capacity, and allows the consortium to explore how it can better support libraries in meeting accessibility expectations as they continue to evolve,” said Jill Morris, PALCI Executive Director. “It also helps us ensure that members will be able to work together rather than in isolation for the accessibility outcomes that are highly desired by our organizations.”

At EdPros Digital, we know that digital accessibility in higher education requires more than isolated fixes. Libraries and institutions need practical strategies, experienced guidance, and workflows that can scale. Through this partnership, participating PALCI member institutions may choose to engage directly with EdPros Digital for services such as:

  • Digital accessibility audits and gap analyses

  • Compliance strategy and consultation

  • Scalable remediation workflow design

  • Document remediation services

  • Staff training and ongoing support

These services are designed to help institutions move beyond short-term remediation and toward durable, organization-wide accessibility practices.

What makes EdPros Digital different is our embedded support model. Rather than operating only as an outside advisor, we work alongside institutional teams as an extension of existing staff. This approach helps libraries and higher education organizations build internal capacity, improve operational alignment, and make measurable progress on accessibility priorities that matter to their communities.

As part of this collaboration, PALCI and EdPros Digital also plan to support shared learning across member libraries through an accessibility-focused community of practice. That may include workshops, webinars, office hours with experts, and other opportunities for collaboration around digital accessibility strategy and practice.

For EdPros Digital, this partnership represents an exciting opportunity to support libraries in a way that is both practical and sustainable. Academic libraries are navigating rising expectations around digital accessibility, accessible documents, and inclusive user experiences. We are honored to partner with a consortium that recognizes the value of collaborative problem-solving and shared capacity-building.

PALCI members can learn more about engaging with this partnership through PALCI’s Basecamp Portal.
